The height of annoyance.

This is a pet peeve of mine.

Don't you just hate it when they put the power adapter as part of the bit you plug in to the wall. It is especially so when you will be plugging it in to a power strip. The chances are you will end up covering at least one more poser socket one the strip. The strip is now heavy and cumbersome, and is generally a downright nuisance.

There! I feel much better now.

I feel your pain about these dreaded wall warts, so I came up with a solution for such a while back.

I went down to the hardware store, picked up a few feet of electrical cord along with a couple male and female AC power plugs, and made an assortment of "mini extension cords" of about 6 inches in length to use with the wall warts, so they only use one socket on a power strip.

I got the idea after seeing something like this commercially available beforehand called "Dr. Ferd's Wall-Wart Remover", which cost about 3x more than what I built from parts from Hardware Hank... ;)
